Introduction to Drilling, Completion and Workover
Workshop Overview
This Class teaches the process from the onset of the well; The Field Development Plan (FDP), throughout the well design, well construction, WRM intervention to maintain production or restore it. Well Integrity Management will be addressed sufficiently to get a basic understanding of the requirement to execute this process.
The Master Class teaches the first steps of identifying a well location, define its design, construct the well and intervention technologies and options.
The class contains Group exercises to induce discussion, enhance understanding by applying learned steps during the class.

- The drilling process, its risks, difficulties and terminology
- The Well Intervention process, why it needs to be performed, risk, terminology, difficulties and effects on Unit Technical Cost
- Well design and construction to create a “integer” well with lowest Unit Technical Cost
- Drilling process
- The terminology used, names of material and equipment
- The Planning and execution of: Drilling wells and well interventions
