Workshop Overview
This course focuses on Hazard Identification and Risk Analysis (HIRA) for offshore, midstream, and downstream operations. HIRA involves identifying hazards and evaluating risks throughout a facility’s life cycle to ensure consistent control within the organization’s risk tolerance towards employees, the public, or the environment. The three key risk questions addressed are: Hazard-What can go wrong? Consequences-How bad could it be? Likelihood-How often might it happen? The objective is to conduct a level of analysis necessary for informed decision-making without wasting resources.
